Product Manager

Who is Mogreet?

Mogreet has established itself as the premiere mobile messaging company that delivers millions of customers' videos to mobile devices. Over the past few years Mogreet has grown to be the industry leader in mobile video and as a result is seeking a resourceful, self-starter Product Manager.

Mogreet has a need for a creative individual with an innovative flair. We are looking for a professional who delves into the latest product trends, techniques, and the ability to think outside the square.

The ideal candidate must be adept at working with the Engineering, Account Management, and the Sales departments. They will need to have strong communication skills and be able to effectively inform customers and the Sales team about new products and features being offered.

The Product Manager is responsible for leading the research and design of Mogreet's product roadmap and significantly contributes to the company achieving its annual goals.

Responsibilities include the following:
  • Design new and innovative products
  • Ability to manage and update existing core platform projects
  • Manage the product lifecycle of new and existing applications
  • Devise plans to meet our users needs and increase the usefulness of our products
  • Use quantitative analysis and other research methods to improve the effectiveness of product design and implementation
  • Drive product roadmap for Mogreet

Junior/Mid Level Software Engineer

Mogreet is the leading mobile messaging company specializing in the delivery of video to mobile devices. Over the past year, our messaging traffic has grown exponentially - with no end in sight!

We are looking for smart, motivated, and mobile-savvy software engineers to help strengthen, scale and evolve our proprietary messaging platform. The right candidate:

Account Manager

Job Summary

This role is unique in the sense that it involves relationship management, sales support, account management, and strategic thinking. The ideal candidate should have a passion for driving business, thinking outside of the box to drive results and overall resourcefulness.

The Account Manager is responsible for directly managing and building the mobile strategy, objectives, and overall relationships with our clients. We are seeking candidates who are proactive, results oriented, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and committed to growing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand our clients' overall objectives and implement Mogreet's mobile solutions platform and work closely with teams internally to champion client success
  • Determine clients' needs and help develop their mobile marketing strategy
  • Drive clients to successfully adopt mobile and integrate it into their traditional marketing campaigns
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills and client rapport
  • Serve as a liaison with clients regarding new product launches and business opportunities
  • Ability to develop custom analytics reports to present to client
  • Develop regular client presentations and project timeline assessments
  • Maintain relationships with senior-level contacts at client organizations
  • Completes other Sales projects and tasks as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements
  • BS or BA degree
  • 2 years of account management in mobile or related industry
  • Mobile background and experience preferred, but not required
  • Candidate should be energetic, self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed assigned goals
  • Excellent listening and communication skills required
  • Ability to learn and understand product solutions and features quickly
  • Proficient in Microsoft: Word, PPT, Excel is a must
  • Ability to manage existing accounts

  • Customer management database experience a plus

Software Developer

Mogreet has immediate openings on the platform team for talented, creative developers. If you have experience writing software that exposes services, consumes API calls or communicates in general with other services using open standards, we want to talk to you!

If you know how to work with RESTful web services, if you can parse XML, if you can query databases and nosql data stores, if you like to build APIs and service oriented architectures that enable new possibilities, we want you on our team.

Our team writes software that provides SMS and MMS services and APIs to enterprises and other developers. We currently code in Ruby and Erlang, but you don't have to be fluent in those languages to apply - it's more important to us that you know the base technologies, have an agile and inquisitive nature, and a good foundation in the fundamentals of software development.

We like software developers with prior experience in Perl, Python, Java, C++, C#, and Objective C, from industries like computer graphics, game development, multimedia development, video, film and post-production, finance and banking.

Bonus points for you if you have any of the following experience:
  • Pure ruby development
  • Erlang or another functional language
  • A love of *nix
  • Mobile app development experience
  • Prior work with SMS, MMS or another messaging protocol
  • Prior work in a mobile oriented company
  • NoSQL data stores like memcached, mongodb,cassandra, etc

Based in Venice Beach CA, we are currently seeking a results orientated sales professional (ideally with mobile experience) to join our fast growing team. If you've been in ad sales, worked in the retail or QSR space or have advertising agency experience, we want to hear from you!

This role is unique in the sense that it involves lead generation, new business sales, relationship management and strategic thinking. The ideal candidate should have an interest in moving into sales, a desire for a career in mobile and have overall resourcefulness that makes him/her an ideal advocate for Mogreet clients.

Key responsibilities include the following:
  • Identify prospective client brands
  • Locate Decision Makers
  • Explain the products and services Mogreet has to offer based on clients needs
  • Schedule an in-person meeting
  • Prepare pitch/presentation
  • Document client conversations and agreements
  • Close the sale
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years experience in retail, QSR or packaged good marketing, preferably at a big brand or agency
  • A desire to move into digital/mobile marketing sales
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field
