Senior Web GUI Developer
Web Application GUI developer

We are looking for a developer with deep expertise and strongly held beliefs in JavaScript, Flash, Flex, and other modern front end web app development languages and environments. Come join our team of Ruby, ROR, Mysql, Memcached and Lighttpd oriented developers!

If you get excited thinking about what you can do with JS, HTML, CSS and the DOM you are our kind of web developer.If you inherently understand the separation of the data layer from the presentation layer, but can reconcile that belief with writing all the GUI logic in the client facing app, we want to talk to you. If you can code in ActionScript 2 and 3, know how to parse XML, and can make RESTful calls in your sleep, we've got a place for you at Mogreet. If you dream at night about how to organize human interfaces to enable new sharing, communication and collaboration, we can use your unique talent and skill at Mogreet.

An ideal candidate would have experience:

  • hand coding HTML
  • using CSS for dynamic layout and formatting
  • using JavaScript for AJAXY stuff like requesting XML data from a RESTful service
  • using JavaScript to write User Interaction code
  • designing and implementing clever, simple, usable human interfaces
  • working with Flash, writing UI and interactivity code in AS2 and AS3
  • working in the Flex/Air environment
  • using (and replacing) JS Libs like Jquery, YUI, Prototype, Scriptaculous

Extra bonus points for:

  • writing your own Google App
  • working with the Facebook API and/or the MySpace API
  • knowing about OpenSocial
  • having experimented with Facebook Connect
  • playing with OAuth
  • loving video on the web, and on mobile devices
