LOS ANGELES, Oct. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Mogreet, the premier video mobile marketing platform provider, was chosen by the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) as the 2011 Innovation Awards winner in the Mobile Marketing category. Mogreet was chosen to receive this prestigious award for its Mobile Video Marketing Platform and "Post-to-Facebook" Service, which allows consumers to receive a video text from a Mogreet advertiser and share the content on their Facebook newsfeed with one-click.
Along with six other 2011 winners, Mogreet was honored at the DMA's third annual Innovation Awards in Boston, Mass. on October 2nd, 2011 DMA2011 event at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.
The six-day, DMA2011 event provided companies with all of the tools, technologies and best practices to accomplish their marketing goals and engage with audiences in real-time. DMA2011 brought together thousands of practitioners and experts from disciplines across the marketing industry to discuss solutions to achieve optimal channel mix and integration that lead to measurable results and increase real-time customer engagement.
"It was truly an honor for Mogreet to be recognized by such a prestigious organization as the Direct Marketing Association for our innovations in mobile marketing," says James Citron, CEO, Mogreet. "We are proud to have been selected by the high-profile, internationally recognized selection team and look forward to making additional advancements in the mobile marketing industry in the years to come."
Mogreet was carefully chosen by the DMA's Innovation Awards panel after judges assessed entries based on whether the innovation broke with conventional ideas or processes in its field, its likelihood of having a wide impact on future technology in its field or in other fields and if the product or solution made a difference in the marketing community.
"The proliferation of leading-edge solutions and technologies made this the toughest year of selections in the three years since the program started," said Bruce Biegel, managing director, Winterberry Group, and an Innovation Awards judge. "We are extremely proud of the winners, as I know their solutions will be the new game-changing moments in marketing technology."

Corona Light's Campaign is First to Deliver Real-Time, Interactive Participation Among Mass Audience - Exclusively Through Mobile
Los Angeles, May 26, 2011 - Mogreet, the world’s premier mobile video marketing company, today announced the launch of an innovative mobile partnership with Grooveshark, an internationally available online music streaming service and music recommendation web application, to deliver an innovative mobile campaign for Corona Light’s Beach Getaway promotion.
The Corona Light-exclusive mobile platform, DJ to Getaway by Corona Light, invites consumers to become “virtual DJs” and host their own exclusive parties, where they can invite their friends and family to engage in real-time song selection using mobile devices. Any consumer can register to host a party by signing up at www.djtogetaway.com. Once registered, the party host is assigned a unique mobile keyword to be used exclusively for their individual party by mobile platform provider, Mogreet. The host’s friends are then able to opt-in to join the party, simply by texting the host’s keyword to the short code 94444 or by tweeting it by replying to @djtogetaway on Twitter. After a short welcome message from Corona Light and Grooveshark, partiers can text in or tweet song requests by song title and artists to add them to the party playlist. Grooveshark is partnering with Corona Light to support the program by providing its music library services for registered parties.
“Corona Light is the first brand to create a virtual event that can be customized and engaged by a mass audience through an interactive function, such as building a music playlist, from information gathered using only mobile devices and Twitter,” said John Ashenden, Creative Director and VP of Product for Grooveshark.
In addition to receiving music requests, party hosts can monitor their party through the use of host-only features, which are accessed directly from the website or through their mobile phones. These features include skipping a song they don’t like or blocking mobile numbers that repeatedly request the same songs or songs that the host does not want to play. These features and Grooveshark’s music service leverage Mogreet’s mobile messaging platform, which delivers text, video, picture, and audio content to virtually any mobile phone and any wireless carrier, and provides the largest SMS/MMS reach on the mobile world. Grooveshark and Mogreet began their partnership after Grooveshark was approached by Corona Light’s media agency of record, Horizon Media, to support the DJ to Getaway program by providing its music library services for registered parties via text messaging and social media.
“It was the perfect fit for Corona Light to kick off the summer and its Beach Getaway promotion. Corona Light is social and innovative with music as part of its DNA, and it can now be a part of the summer party scene in more ways than one,” said Taylor Valentine, VP, Social Media, Horizon Media. “Leveraging Twitter and SMS to build a collaborative music playlist puts the social in social party scene.”
Corona’s DJ to Getaway by Corona Light platform is part of the current Corona Light Beach Getaway promotion and will run from May 24th – July 4th, 2011. The DJ to Getaway Twitter page is www.twitter.com/djtogetaway. Grooveshark will be advertising the events on their website, www.grooveshark.com.
“The DJ to Getaway by Corona Light campaign is a great example of integrating mobile and digital media, through a campaign that leverages the personal nature of the mobile medium,” said James Citron, CEO, Mogreet. “It’s exciting to be working with one of the music industry’s leaders, as well as one of the biggest brands in beer, and we are thrilled that we can provide an immediate bridge between consumer song requests and Grooveshark’s music service to fuel thousands of fun parties across the country.”

Post-to-FacebookService in its Mobile Video Marketing Platform
New Facebook Connect Integration Delivers One-Click Sharing of Video Content on Facebook
Los Angeles, April 13, 2011 - Mogreet, a leader in video-based mobile marketing, announced a new social media component integrated into its proprietary mobile marketing platform. Leveraging Facebook Connect, consumers who receive a video from a Mogreet advertiser can share the content to their Facebook newsfeed with one-click.
The Post-to-Facebook feature allows advertisers' mobile content to go viral
using the powerful reach of Facebook, which has over 200 million mobile users, each of which has an average of 130 friends. Mogreet is the first platform to create a solution that deeply integrates mobile with social deliver this functionality and is making the solution available to all its existing and new clients.
One of the strongest responses a marketer can receive is when a person receives a message and shares it with a friend,
said James Citron, CEO of Mogreet. Now, imagine the opportunity for an advertiser to both reach their target consumer anytime, anywhere on mobile and have that message instantly shared to one's closest few hundred friends? It creates an unparalleled increase in reach and response for any mobile marketer.
Consumers' prolific use of their mobile devices to check and update social media sites such as Facebook creates the perfect vehicle to extend advertisers’ messages. In addition to mobile opt-ins, Mogreet is able to track the number of postings to Facebook, as well as the number of views of the video. This kind of information is powerful and essential to mobile marketers.
Today, Facebook access and mobile devices go hand-in-hand, and are very personal in nature,
Citron continues. By using our Post-to-Facebook feature, marketers can reach their consumers and grow interest in their products and services based on the recommendation of a friend, rather than the advertiser directly. You don’t get much more powerful than that.

Mogreet’s Mobile Messaging Platform Delivers Breaking Alerts Directly to Subscribers’ Mobile Devices
Los Angeles, January 17, 2011 - Mogreet, the world’s premier video-based marketing company, today announced the launch of an innovative mobile video program for WGCL-TV, CBS Atlanta, a Meredith Corporation Station, which delivers video news and weather alerts directly to consumers’ mobile devices.
CBS Atlanta viewers can subscribe to the service by simply texting the keyword “NEWS” or “WEATHER” to 21534 and they will receive video updates from their favorite CBS Atlanta news and weather anchors and reporters as soon as they are created.“Our viewers use their mobile devices as a companion for news and weather, and with this service, we are able to push content directly to consumers on their device, so they can receive the information they want instantly, without using their mobile browser to search for it, whether they live in the metro Atlanta area or anywhere in the country,” said Steve Schwaid, Vice President of Digital Content for Meredith Local Media, and Director of News and Digital Content for CBS Atlanta. “We’re a media company that reaches consumers through pictures, video, and audio, and we wanted to bring the same rich-media, broadcast television experience to consumers on their mobile phone. Mogreet’s platform is guaranteed to best reach our customers anytime, anywhere, in a way that is both engaging and relevant.”
CBS Atlanta’s video service leverages Mogreet’s Multimedia Messaging (MMS) platform, which delivers video, picture, and audio content to virtually any mobile phone and any wireless carrier, and provides the largest MMS reach in the mobile world. By leveraging MMS, brands can reach 90 percent of mobile phone subscribers, because neither a smartphone, nor a data plan, is required to view multimedia content. This is significant, because only 23 percent of mobile phones today are smartphones, whereas nearly every phone shipped in the past three years in the U.S. comes pre-loaded with MMS capabilities integrated into the device. Furthermore, wireless carriers bundle text, picture, and video messages into the same rate plan, which means MMS messages don’t cost any more to send or receive – yet they deliver much more engagement and generate more excitement among consumers.
“CBS Atlanta is at the forefront of the media industry, in delivering ground-breaking mobile video content to their viewers,” said James Citron, CEO, Mogreet. “Broadcasters are rapidly embracing mobile video as a way to captivate their audience, because it engages with consumers in a way that is similar to watching television, but has ubiquitous reach. Using MMS gives CBS Atlanta a competitive advantage because it provides an entertaining and engaging experience for their audience, as well as a proven vehicle for mobile monetization through the insertion of video ads.
